  1. i treid just opening the movie in virtuadub without changing any settings and the wav came out all jirky.

    so i tired the tutorials on here that say change a few settings, how these happen



    here is the file info

  2. looks like you are missing a codec (maybe an ac3 codec?)
    try to install GordianKnot codec pack, it might work.
    get it here - http://keihanna.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gordianknot/GordianKnot.CodecPack.1.3.exe

    If it wont work try convert the avi audio to wav with goldwave .

  6. Try loading your file into avicodec and see what it says about the audio. Let us know.

    i clicked the web button beside the audio bit and downloaded what it said, but i still get exact same as the error above

  8. In the tools section under "virtual dub tools" download the ac3 ACM decompressor. Install it and then load your film in v-dub. Choose audio>full processing mode. Then choose audio>compression>ac3 ACM decompressor. Then file>save as wav. This should solve your problem. If not, use goldwave as Baldrick suggested.
