  1. How do I find out what a particular AVI file's data or bitrate is? My UleadVideo studio usually shows something like 131.64 Kbps, for all of my downloaded DivX movies, which doesn't seem right. It's never below 120.00 or above 140.00. And that's the DATArate, or at least that's what it says next to it, as opposed to BITrate which is what it says for mpegs, which are usually 1150 kbps (what's the difference between data and bit rates anyway?) I want to know this because I want to reencode the DivX files to MPEG2 with the same bitrate. I don't want to lose quality by making it lower or unnecessarily lose space by making it higher. Please help

Under Type select DivX - Enter run time of movie - TADA - bitrate.

Or use gspot or avicodec. But using same bitrate with divx and mpeg2 wont give you same quality.
