Recently I upgraded my OS to XPPro and since then, I have been unable to burn SVCDs that are playable in my stand alone player (JVC, never had had problems with it prior to upgrade). The image quickly deteriorates with bars of pixels crossing the screen and the audio becomes qarbled. Eventually the the disc becomes unplayable. I didn't have this problem before the upgrade and haven't changed my media (usually Memorex).
I use DVD2SVCD w/TEMPenc, 2 pass VBR encoding to rip, encoded and mux the mpeg file (which plays fine on my computer). Then I use VCDEasy to make the disc image. I have had the same results with both Nero and VCDEAsy (both updated)when I burn the image. Both are set at 12x speed and CD burner is a Sony CRX215E1. I have also had these problems with SVCD disc images I've down loaded from USENET. I've downloaded all the software updates, and made sure that DMA is enabled.
When I upgraded I had to reinstall all of my programs and that was when the problems started. I would apreciate any help anyone could give me.
Thanks,
