    Using this guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/186739.php#1

    Everything was going by the Guide step by step, until I tried loading the video into TMPGEnc. It gave me an error:

    File "z:\filename.avi" can not open, or unsupported.

    Here's a screenshot of the GSpot information...

    Can anyone help...

    I already increased the priority of the DirectShow filter to 1.

    Is the directshow reader on top of the list?
    Try lower the priority to 0 and reopen the xvid, it may work fine with the default reader.

    ound with the general tab in your environmental settings, i noticed that one of these options allows you tro not be able to load mpgs as well as avis'...holla back
