Creating a backup of my ps2 game

I was wondering if anybody knew why this happened or what caused this. I did a backup of my smackdown 5 ps2 game and when i do the slide tool method with the swapdiscs it will boot up and goto the first loading screen and then it will freeze. I used verbatim datalife plus dvd-r's but i dont understand why it didnt work. i used nero to copy the disc.

I think the problem is the swapdiscs. In the past there was a topic with a lot backup games that can't play with the swapdisc.

Sometimes I have had that happen to me with other games. I usually just reburn a disc and it seems to work.

you could also try dvddecryptor i use that and ive got to do the swap disc trick and they play all the time also try writing at a lower speed 1or2x just a thought good luck

using dvd dcrypter do you have any special settings or are they just the default settings? thanx Also wondering on this. my friends and i found out a program that can create the files needed on the smackdown 5 game for the music so we can change them. but what program can i use to put the new files into the iso and fix it back up so it will boot with the bootdiscs. i tried it with smackdown 4 but it didnt load. thanx for any info

no special settings just read in iso mode to hard drive then copy in iso mode to disc but try copying in 1 x or 2 x to get better results hope this helps

The swap disc thing is retarded.

There is NO PROTECTION ON PS2 DISCS.

Let me repeat yourself - you do NOT NEED TO USE DVD DECRYPTOR.

OR ANY OTHER PROGRAMS TO DO ANYTHING SPECIAL.

What you DO have to do is get a mod chip, dammit. Your slide card thing is like ... well, let's say that buying a game is like eating a gourmet meal, ok?

Now, instead of eating a gourmet meal, you could... eat a nice homecooked version of the same thing. That's like using a no-swap mod chip.

But you - you STAB yourself with a rusty gardening knife, and while you're bleeding you forcefeed human shit down your throat.

And you wonder why it's not as nice as eating the gourmet meal?
