Read and Writing with DirectCD is problematic

I am trying to format DVD/CD-RW with Directcd 5 as per the instruction I do a full format which is the only option, enable compression and it formats and verifies forever, to the extent where I can't close it. Anyway the point is this. How do I cut and paste directly onto cd and also read & write from them using Roxio. Direct CD Version 5? It seems to work when it wants. Thanks

Get a burning program

or use DLA from VERITAS please!

I will CERTAINLY do away with Roxio Direct CD/Easy Creator cos all I wanted to do was to store and download my data/multimedia onto disc and not have them converted into read only files. Also most definitely I'll have a look at DLA VERITAS or other softwares if there are any more.

You must be using 98, 2000, or millenium because they fixed that
if you're running WINDOWS XP
this is auto matic.. Meaning ..If you burn a WRITEABLE file to CD-R and copy it back to the hard drive from there, it retains WRITEABLE status
