  1. I have a movie that's in bin/cue file it's a svcd version. I used Daemon tools to mount the image so that i can watch it in WMP, but it says that it does not recognize the class.

I've also tried to convert the bin/cue file into an mpeg file. It works with WMP but the lip sync is way off.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how i can fix this problem? Or possibly recommend a better player?

Oh yeah i've also tried using PowerDVD but i only get sound out of it.

The SVCD could be in PAL format instead of NTSC. I had a similar situation. Have you tried playing the disc in a regular standalone dvd player? Some standalone dvd players can play PAL and NTSC films.

  3. I haven't had the chance to play the disc in a standalone dvd player yet, but i'm sure it will work.

I'm also quite sure that it's in NTSC format

I'm just trying to watch it on my computer.

I'm still hoping someone will tell me how i can watch svcds on my computer.

    I recommend a better codec:

    Ligos LSX MPEG Player.

Contrary to its name. It is not a player. It is an MPEG2 codec that allows you to play SVCD using WMP9.

Videos on disc (or as a mounted disc image), be it VCD, SVCD or DVD, are best enjoyed on your computer using a software DVD player, like PowerDVD or WinDVD. Media players, like WMP, may be good at playing media files, but that's about it (not counting audio CD's which even WMP can't fail to do).

    ryu2cool,
Try using VLC Player to play the .bin file. I've done this with many VCD .bin files and it works great, no synch errors. No need to mount it, just drage the .bin file right into the player. let me know if it works
