iMac:.mov to mpeg2 problem.....

I've converted a vhs to .mov with canopus advc 100 and iMovie...Now I'd like to convert it to mpeg2 and then burn a dvd...My problem is that when I encode the dv to mpeg2 at the end of the process(takes about 10 hours!!! ) I receive always an errror message ...What do I have to do?

Which error message?

I can't remember exactly the message but was something like "...CAN'T SPLIT..."What i remember is that the message is referred to the original .mov files....

even if ffmpex returned me an error message at the end of the conversion process i've noticed that a ihave three files: .m2v, .mp2, .mpeg....What do i have to do?(join the m2v and mp2?) and why i get such error message and then the correct converted files?

You can also try to use Sizzle to combine m2v and mp2 into a DVD image.
