We just got a G5 Dual 2.0 yesterday (at work). It came with Jaguar though. So we partitioned it and put Panther on it. Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, Indesign CS, Quark 6, Toast 6. It's fast!

On a side note, I was reading help and it says something to the effect of... you can mount an ftp site as read only in the finder, if you want to upload to ftp you need to use another application such as Safari...We tried a few times to do this but were unsuccessful. Is there a way to upload to ftp with Panther out of the box?

Sorry tgpo, didn't mean to hijack your thread, but...
I was able to log in to my work ftp and enter username and password.
I was also able to do a "get" and download a file but when I tried to do a "put", it didn't work. i typed put + space + drag file from finder and it said file or directory not found. I was able to do it using curl.

    curl -T filename -u password:username ftp://yourhost.com/directory/filename

    Galactica,
    Captain FTP is good.
    I also use R-Browser Lite,
or if uploading web and graphix,
Dreamweaver's built in FTP works great!
