I currently am on dial up but not for much longer. I use sygate personal firewall the free version but wanted to know more about zone alarm and how it compares. Can both run at the same time or would you recommend one over the other??
Let me know.
Thanks :P

Never used either, but I would NOT suggest running both. I get calls from customers all the time that have 2 virus scannrs and 2 firewalls and say "I thought I'd be more protected" Pick one of each and keep them up to date. THen you'll be more protected, AND have more resources.
If I were you I'd just get a broadband router with a hardware firewall, never had an issue with the built in ones. -
zone alarm works fine on winxp/pro on broadband. never used sygate, so cant comment. Did previously use outpost, But I stopped for some reason, cant remember why.

Thanks for the replies...the information helps. I will just continue to use what I have been using that works best.
