i used to have this problem a while back, i solved it by frameserving any xvid/divx files from virtualdub.

usually have to extract the audio using full processing mode which gives you a wave file, select wave audio and select the file you just made.

then set both audio and video to direct stream processing and then start frame server. open the frameserved file in tmpeg as normal (may have to change view to see all types of files)

dont know if this will help anyone but it worked for me.

  8. here's a solution i found just by googling the error message.

If TMPGEnc freezes or crashes when converting or you receive errors such as Unexpected decimal point calculation Illegal floating decimal point calculation order Write error occured at address 77F83AED of module "ntdlll.dll"

Try first to change the directshow codec reader priority settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 2 or to the top of the plugin-list and try reopen the video. If that doesn't help try repair/fix the video source (Downloaded video files could have bad/corrupt video frames that could cause crashes).

might want to try divxfix or scanning for errors using virtualdub before converting the avi file.
