  1. on a G4/Panther

Some time ago I backed up a DVD. Can't remember what program I used but it gave me one file of approx. 7.0gb called 'TITLE01-ANGLE1.VOB'.

What program do I use on the above to extract the relevant files for a VIDEO_TS folder so I can then use with DVD2oneX?

    Thanks

hopefully you have more than just 1 .vob!
if not you wont be able to do what you want with dvd2onex

the app requires input of an ENTIRE VIDEO_TS folder with lots of .vob's in it

if your have just a single .vob it will be a trickier process.

so tell me, the backup you have is it an entire VIDEO_TS folder thats 7+ gigs or is it just a single .vob thats 7+ gigs?

But if he converted the vob to an mpeg, he could author it with Sizzle, then compress with DVD2OneX.

Plus, doesn't ffmpegX do VIDEO_TS authoring from MPEGs??

yes that would work, but you will loose the menu's if any were kept.
thus why i say a more involved process. doable - yes, anything is possible.
same with ffmpegx it will do it, but is he like me and always wants menus?

if so i guess we just have to wait until your menu tutorial for dvdsp comes out

I think you guys are reading these cries for help way too fast (I've done it also). The poster clearly stated his ripper gave him one file that was approx. 7 gigs. So his only option is to use some software (DVD Studio Pro, Sizzle) to author that giant vob as a proper DVD. It will have no menus. Once the VIDEO_TS folder is created then that gets crunched in DVD2OneX.
