    Okay, im not exactly sure if this is right section to put this in, but ill try it n e ways

    Okay, so I heard to sharpen up a picture, you should add filters to it. I also know that if u use too many filters ur gonna overkill the pic quality.

    I was wondering if n e one recommends n e software w/ good filters or n e filters in general you have used to sharpen up the quality on a vid.

    I must tell you that im doing this to analog video from a hi8 camera. I was thinking about using premiere's filters...i dunno...n e one recommend n e thing :P

My take on this is that unless there's a reason you need to filter (to remove video noise, adjust video levels/chroma/hue, etc), then it's not really necessary to use filters and probably won't get you any better results. You can't make the video look much better than the source material. It's like the saying goes, "garbage in, garbage out".
