I looked it up in the player database, and it seems your fellow owners also have problems with it playing CD-R, VCDs, etc, as well.

You could also try authoring with VCDEasy - My DVD player has never played a VCD authored with Nero, but has yet to reject anything even remotely VCDish authored with VCDEasy. If VCDEasy can't burn on your system, just create the VCD cue/bin image, and burn this with Nero.

  6. I tried to use a cdrw and it worked. I can play it now with my DVD player but when I tried it to my standalone vcd player it wont play. What's wrong? Thanks for your help.

  7. Nothing is wrong. Some players can play VCD on any media and some are limited. I don't have the technical reasons for the limits but I know my Sony plays cdrw without a hitch but can't even load a cdr. I've moved on to DVD so this is not a concern for me any more. So you'll have to just find out which media each of your players can use and burn on that media. That may mean that you need to burn more than one copy if you want the video to play on multiple players. At least you'll have a good backup if you need one.
