How to make a disk image from files/folders

I just bought some new blank media (Princo DVD-R 4x,Infosmart DVD-R 4x, and Medial Generic DVD+R 4x). The only ones that actually burnt at 4x were the Princos.... But during playback there was a spot where the movie paused up. This is good compared to this other media I had where it paused up every minute.

But anyways I heard that creating a disk image, then burning that will help this. As I cannot create a disk image of a DVD-9, how can I create a disk image of VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS (that contain my .vobs etc..) so that I can burn that image to disk...
