  1. Hello,

I am trying desperately to find info in the forums and FAQ, but I can't seen to get anywhere. Perhaps my seaching techniques are wrong. I dont know.

I have an LG-4040B burner, a Panasonic RV-32 standalone, and not enough knowledge

    I basically have two questions.

    1) When I am burning a double layered cd, what is the best program to use to have it split into two disks?

    and

    2) I found and read the 120 something reviews for my RV-32. In the end, I really am not sure of what to make of it all. Will the RV-32 play +R/+RW formats or not? I can get it to read –R/-RW and I haven’t tried + yet, mostly because I haven’t purchased any. But before I do, I want to know if it will play at all? What say you folks?

    That’s it for now.

    Thanks guys.

    1. what is a doubled layered cd ?

    2. the reports you read in the player reviews are peoples results -- some players (many) will read only certain types of formats and then only if certain media brands ..... so results will vary ... but generally speaking if you see a majority of people saying it will play something - it will play (perhaps not all brands though)

  3. I apologize. By double layered, I mean a DVD-9, not DVD-5. Double sided I guess would be a better term.

Ditto on the double layered CD. Maybe a dvd? If so..dvd shrink
As far as the RV32, mine plays dvd+R, but my brothers cant. I dont know why, but thats how it goes sometimes when reading the forums, different methods of authoring, dif disc brands. Also, buy ONE +R disc, or buy a 5 pack of the R and +R, then even if one dont work, you can at least use the remaining ones to store data backups of your computer files.
