  1. how do you manage to get a whole film onto 1 cd by the time i have encoded to svcd it is taking 3 cd at a time obviously it can be done because you can by any film on the market in 1cd do they use large capacity discs[is there such a thing].

    To get one film on a cd they are probably encoding to VCD format instead of SVCD. SVCD normally takes 2 CD's for a average movie with decent quality. To get a movie onto 1 cd you have to lower the quality, say to VCD quality. CD's can go up to 90 minutes. I use 80 minute CD's and it still takes 2 minimum for the average movie in SVCD format.
