Need help fixing dvd player!!!

I just bought an audiovox DVD1500 portable dvd player off ebay and I went to play a dvd and it doesn't work.It just keeps spinning the disc and nothing happens. Also there are two verticle lines on the lcd. Does anyone know how to fix either of these problems?

Try cleaninng the laser. Was it new/oem? Sounds like you got hosed, was it guaranteed to work?

Sorry, I dont know how and yea, you knew i was gonna say this, but......
Unless you bought it AS IS, I would return, get refund asap. Even if it can be fixed, you shouldnt have to go thru the trouble of doing it. If that person has a high feedback, req refund, if they refuse & u went thru paypal, contact them and let them know of the problem.

He only has 7 feedback and only ONE of those is from a SALE. I myself wouldnt buy any high priced item from someone with that low a feedback AND only ONE sale with the rest coming from buying. I wont even mention the 2 negs he has.
A lot of people tend to try to build up their feedback by making purchases and most of them are small items. Anyway, thats water under the bridge now. email him, ask for a refund. if he refuses, go to paypal and tell them. trust me, you dont want paypal messing with ur account as they will freeze it until the mess gets sorted out and that person cant touch his money til then.
