Is there a setting that I can switch to allow more Ram to be used for my video capturing/editing??
Thank You

Assuming that you have enough free RAM in the first place, the software should allocate itself enough RAM, if it needs more, then it just uses more. If you are on Win9x/ME then you should have at least 128Mb and under W2k/XP - 256Mb. There are tweaks that you can do that will optimise your memory, such as Cacheman. Besides that, there are many Windows tune up guides which will tell you more about how to speed up your system, just search on the web.

You may also want to consider rebooting prior to any large rendering job. I had a running contest with a friend, he has a fast P4 and I have a fast AMD. He were using the same test file and running the same test we sometimes got unexpected results with the elaspe time being more than it should have been. Turned out that just rebooting (to refresh system resources) had a measurable impact, even if prior to rebooting system resorces were over 80%.
On average, rendering from a fresh boot reduced rendering times between 8-10%. -
That is true. I *think* that it has something to do with "leaking" memory - I read an article in a magazine a few weeks ago which also supports what you are saying.
