  1. I have an Pionner A04 had it just over a year now. I have 2 pcs, up until recently in my computer the main computer the dvd drive will not read any disks. Just keeps spining them. But has been working fine for almost a year. So i put it in the 2nd pc, works absolutely fine, Burn disks on it and everything????

  3. i dont think it is any of them because i have a dvd rom attacthed to the system as well using the same IDE cable. Which elimantes all 3 question?

    DVDR = Master
    DVD-Rom= Slave

  4. Swap the drives around on the IDE cable (don't forget to change the jumper settings too) and see if anything different happens.

    Also try the recorder on a different IDE chain. I think you're going to have to try swapping things out one by one between the machines to find out what is wrong, I doubt it's the recorder at all from what you say.

  5. for some reason i just took it back out of the 2nd pc, and put it back in the same place in my pc ie MASTER. It is working fine again now, How weird, but thanks garry for the tips

  6. No problem, but I'd ditch that IDE cable ASAP, I suspect it's on the way out if re-seating the connector made it work again... !
