    I downloaded dvdcopy xp but when it went looking for the files I wanted to burn it said there was no ifo ..okay what is a ifo and where do I put the files I want to burn with the ifo

    i use smart ripper to rip the vob files off of the dvd onto my hard drive..... then i use vdub to encode it..... but when i rip with smart ripper.... it makes an ifo.... if you view it.... it'll say what the video and audio streams are and such.... just information..... i don't know how you're encoding...... or converting.... but you might wanna try smart ripper

    what is dvdcopy xp? a cloning/transcoding program? no offense but your post has quite a few holes in it. you're telling us what you are trying to do (burn some files)...but how are you going about doing it. what have you done up to the point where you want to burn something, and with what (tools). i realize you are new here. so please give us some information to work with.

    Im burning a dvd movie from the internet to the hardrive and then to my cd-r ,but all the burning software I've tried does not work for me . and believe me I've tried them all but I don't really understand them like dvdcopy xp .when I go into ripping the dvd Itry to put what I have in my files and then it says no IFO file found .what does IFO mean ?
