Ok, as a newb to all this, I gotta question. I've read guide after giude after guide and still have the same questions. I recently bought a Panny e80 so I'm learning it. BUT, I've decided I want to go a step further by getting a dvd-burner for my pc, create a dvd-ram disk on the Panny from a recording on the e80 hard drive and edit on my PC. I bought an LG 4040b burner. I would like to preserve dolby 5.1 and believe I read if using a dvd-ram disk, and editing on my pc that this is possible. What's the best software to use to divide my production into chapters (with thumbnails preferably), add a decent or nice menu and chapter section and burn to a highly compatible dvd-r? If anybody can also while suggesting software, suggest a plan of attack on how to do this, I would really appreciate that as well.
Thanks so much!

You are the only person on earth who best answer that question for you, as you know what you are best at. Read the beginner's guides and the DVD Authoring section. Look at the guides and see which ones look easiest for you. What is easiest for me may a bear for you and vice versa.
