I have a Sony DirecTV Satellite Receiver that came with a VCR Mouse. I'm trying to see if the VCR Mouse will control my E80. The only IR codes I have are for Panasonic VCRs and these codes will not turn on the E80.
Does anyone know if this will even work? How about codes that the E80 sees. Anyone have those.

Tried it, it doesn't work. You'll have to manuall set both timers in order to record anything from the dish to e80. I know, it's a pain in the @$$.

Not what I want to hear...
But, it's just IR codes. Can't see why it wouldn't work if we could find the right code for the VCR Mouse to send out. -
Here's a case where old technology seems better suited than new technology. My Bell Expressvu 4500C has built-in timers that can be used to change the channels at any given time. I just set the E80 timer for the length and input and then the timers on the 4500C for the channels. I don't need an IR Blaster or VCR mouse at all.
