  1. Hi all,

My friend used a screen cleaner to do his laptop screen, and this left a bit of a smear on the screen. Is there anything that I can use to clean the cleaner off it?

    Thanks!

Probably get flamed for this, but I use small isopropyl achohol swabs pads you can get in any drugstore. Used for cleaning skin before injections. From what I can find out, most manufactures of laptops seem to recommend isopropyl alcohol diluted 50% with water. The swabs are a little higher concentration, but they work well and are lint free. You can buy a box of a hundred for a few dollars.

  3. I recommend Endust for Electronics coupled with a 3M or comparable brand microfiber, lint-free cloth.

Definitely ssome kind of plastic safe cleaner.

My own is called "Static Free SD-7 Plast-N-Glas".

Safe on most plastic LCD screens. Note I said on most.

    No guarantees here.

    Cheers,

  5. I got a bottle of propan-2-ol (isopropanol alcohol) and it did a fantastic job of my friend's screen.
