Help! My Pioneer A06U can't Burn at 2X

Hi,
I recently bought a Pioneer A06U and some Ritek blank 2X DVD-R from Shop4tech. When I tried to burn using either RecordNow Max or Nero 6, my burner only has the option of burning at 1X. I updated my burner's firmware to 1.07 and all of my software are updated. I have reintalled the softwares but that didn't solve the problem. I even went and exchanged for another A06U and it still can only recognize 1X and nothing else.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ypur software doesn't recognize the drive. Try upgrading Nero to 6.0.19 .

What's the Disk INFO ID say? Are they real RITEK G02's ?

Ritek only has 1X media which can burn at 2X if you use a hack for the drive and 4X certified media, G03 and G04 respectively.

Spend a few more cents and buy the 4X g04's by Ritek...they're awesome on the pioneer drives.

Has anyone had good results burning the Ritek G03's at 2x with the hacked firmware? I read a couple of people getting errors in their burns.
