  1. I installed the card in my machine a week ago.

    Specs:
    Dell 4550
    P4 2.4Ghz
    1024RAM @ 333mhz
    ATI 9700 Pro 128MB
    WinXP Pro (running SP1)

Card was running great. Did a typical reboot. And all of a sudden "Winfast PVR" appication stops responding to the point where you have to reboot the machine again to clear it out. The Winfast FM functions work fine.

I uninstalled the drivers, Cleared the Leadtek folders from the registry, Pulled the card out, rebooted and went thru the install process again. Same end result.

Anyone had this problem before? Could it be a bad .dll? If so whats the best way to track it down? I'd be greatful for any hints or to be directed to a FAQ or something.

I've contacted their Tech Support folks.. no response yet

    Thanks

  2. Follow up..

If I go into hardware manager and disable the WDM drivers for the card, I can then go to programs and get the Winfast PVR Application to run but obviously, it doesn't see the card itself. So I think I ruled out that its a bad software install.

When I re-enable the drivers for the card, it goes back to the same problem with the PVR app. freezing. Which ends with a reboot.

The Winfast FM portion works fine. The card is only a week old. It was kicking butt. I've tested the card in another machine and it works.

This leads me to believe that there is a DLL file problem somewhere. Can anyone tell me the best way to restore the DLL's? Will that help?
