what changed to your system did you make (hardware, software) prior to getting the error message? maybe reinstall Decrypter will help.

it should work now, i had to upload it to my site since i couldnt figure out how to attach it

correct.
i have a P3-933 and have no problem. your cpu is faster than mine but then you have win98 and i run 2k. you will have system resource issues but it may still work. give it a go.
also try ripping with your burner and see if you have the same problem. -
just re-read the final part of your post...do a search of your HDD(s) to locate the files Decrypter supposily ripped. if your drive space is reduced by the amount of the contents of the rip they are somewhere.

I have a (2yr old) Sony DVD Rom drive which is hopeless with ripping, it will succesfully rip only about 1 in every 3 discs I try, my Pioneer 106 DVD-R drive rips everything perfectly. It could just be your drive?? I have found some DVDrom drives are funny like that!
