hi there,
lets see if i can explain this to you.
i'm trying to join 2 xvid files so then i can use TMPGEnc to prepare them for dvdr, i join the files with virtualdub then as usual i tryed to extract the audio <full processing mode>compression =NO Compression (pcm) and save wav.> and it gives an error <No audio compressor could be found to decompress the source audio format> i have all the codecs instaled and i really dont no how can i extract the audio to be used with TMPGnc.
I would really apreciate if someone could help me out as ive got the drive full of xvids and cant put to dvdr, if you know a better way to convert them or know a guide i will be very thankfull.
Sorry about my english, i know its not very good, but im still trying
TIA to anyone who helps this desperate person...

First of all, the correct procedure to join multiple AVI segments, provided they are joinable, is this:
a) open first segment, set both video and audio to Direct Stream;
b) go to File->Append AVI, open second segment, and so on,
c) save as new AVI.
Don't know why you can't extract audio. Check to see if your codec is properly installed. Or try NanDub or VDubMod.
