  1. I have captured from a DV camcorder into video studio 7. Then encoded the AVI in TMPGenc.
I have checked the resulting WAV file & this plays fine.
I have then followed the guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/129419.php
to convert the WAV file to AC3.
When i check the ac3 file, there is no sound.
I am using windvd to play the file.
    Help please

  2. I had the same problem, and it was because I had an early ac3enc.dll file.

Anyway here is my setup and it works.

    Download this version of BeSweet.
    http://divxfr2logiciels.free.fr/logiciels/BeSweetv1.5b17.zip

    Use this GUI.
    http://dspguru.notrace.dk/BeSweetGUIv0.6b83.zip

Use ac3enc.dll v0.2 by Gerard Lantau & Dg

Make sure the WAV file is 48000HZ 16bit sample rate.
(Do not let BeSweet try to do the conversion. leave SSRC box empty)

  3. Thanks for the reply.
Where do I get the "ac3enc.dll v0.2 by Gerard Lantau & Dg".
With regard to your point on WAV file. I checked the audio settings in TMPGenc. The sampling rate is 48000hz, the bit rate though is 1536kbps. TMPGenc will not allow me to change this in the audio settings.
I wouldn't know how to check properties of the WAV file but i assumed it will match the settings in TMPGenc.
    Is this right?

  4. Kelso, thank you very much.
I have spent the best part of two days searching for related articles on the problem I had.
Nonetheless, clearly the file I downloaded was the problem.
What is wierd though, is that I downloaded the latest version & the beta version & had the same problem.
One other strange thing though, I get no problems enabling the SSRC.
Also the ac3enc.dll is by Fabrice Bellard, which was in the download folder. Seems to be working fine, can't find the ac3enc.dll v0.2 by Gerard Lantau & Dg though.
    Anyway, my sincerest thanks.

Even I had same problem (no audio) after following the guide you
    mentioned.

I tried the method mentioned in this guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/185077.php and it worked fine.
