  1. Hi,

    I have a question:

I capture using MMC 8.7, AVI using Huffy. Everything is fine.
Then I open the video file in VDub (1.5.4 or 1.5.7) for editing (cutting, apply some filters etc). Then I go "Save as AVI...", then......the new AVI file is BIGGER than the original!!!! What is happening??? Also using Huffy in VDub. The final file created by VDub is more than twice the size of the original AVI captured with MMC. Even when I am not applying any filters in VDub, the AVI file size gets bigger....

    any ideas???

  2. Compression, compression, compression! If the file is larger, it must be less compressed or uncompressed. If it's smaller, it must be compressed someway. Huffy is about the best lossless codec there is with 2:1 compression. Don't know what codec MMC uses. But remember: Compression is the King.
