    In properties, it says ATAPI 12x DVD

    I can to see if I can get a firmware hack to make it region free.
    I only have 1 more change left before it's locked.

    this is what the software reports:

    neroinfotool and Dvdinfotool:

    region control RPC1
    regioncode all
    changes left: user N/A, vendor, N/A

    in MY computer/Properties/Device Manager/ it shows 1 region change left.

    What is the software is telling me? Do I ignore what device manager says?

    oh, in addition to wanting it region free, which I think it is, how could I find out about a ripping speed hack? I need to know who makes it..
