  1. Rip my dvd to HD with DVD decrypter 2.4
    Make d2v file with dvd2avi
and convert all in one go with tmpg

Plays fine in my player... tried with 3 different NEW and OLD LG players that are supposed to support VCD and the pic is fine (little framey) and the audio has like a bell ringing or continous bleeping in the bground??

Have tried using external tools for audio, same prob.

ANy ideas what it COULD be?

    Thanks

  2. Hmm... How is the "bleep, bleep" - is it anything like the Road Runners "bleep bleep" ? Wait, or is that a "meep meep"... nevermind!

That's extremely peculiar, hopefully someone can address your concern in time, someone with more vcd experience - for the most part my vcd encoding in TMPGEnc has been pretty trouble free.

  3. yeh not really road runnerish... but still annoying!

    some more info..

When converting from an avi it doesnt hapen...

When ripping from dvd, making d2v file, and converting to vcd, then it happens....

So I guess the problem is either because I skip the avi process, or because the input (source video and audio) comes from 2 seperate files!

I know I could just convert to avi first, but seems like a waste of time!
