  1. I have ac3filter installed and tried watching a dvd with windows media player classic. i had to turn the volume up almost 3x's what i normally do just to hear the movie. is there any way to increase the sound level through the ac3 filter? other movies that don't use ac3 sound have a very acceptable volume level.

Yep, in media player classic select Play->Filters->AC3Filter, click on Mixer and drag the Gains Master to +20 DB.

i cannot find this option in win media player. i have windows xp so classic is not like the old win media player 6 and older classic. i have no play> filter options in media player either.. however i can change the properties it seems from the ac3filters settings in control panel.. BUT for some strange reason after i set the master gain to 20 and click ok.. and reopen win media player. the settings change.. and the volume never changes either. so im stuck trying to get the volume back up
ahhh cancel that sorry about the waste of time.. i reinstaled the codec and it works fine now thanks
