    Have a movie that is 829MB, its a DivX DVD Rip.

    What do i need to to on this file to play on a DVD player?

    How can I convert to a SVCD.

    Go to the guides section and pick one.

    Basically you need to convert it to SVCD compliant mpeg2, then author and burn to disk.
