I have a win tv go capture card and find that i am getting wavy lines (diagonal) when receiving tv broadcasts or capturing to my video composite from VHS. This is particularly noticeable with blue colours. Anyone know how I can eliminate them?

Some suggestions from my capture card manual about this problem:
1. If there is a TV near the VCR it may cause interference. Move the VCR away from the TV, or keep the TV switched off when capturing.
2. Upgrade your picture cable.
3. Do not run your picture and sound cables in parallel, separate them as far from each other as possible.
4. Install your card in a PCI slot which is away from sound and modem cards installed.
Hope this helps, I had the same problem and the first suggestion worked for me.

Hi.
I get this problem as well. Because I don't have a lot of room somtimes the above isn't possible. I'm using an Rf lead but will be getting an s-video cable soon which might clear it up?
Anyway what I was going to ask, is are there any good filters in Virtual Dub or tmpenc to help get rid of these?
Thanks
