  1. I recorded from VHS to computer using WinTV PVR-250. I recorded in MPEG-2. OK so far. I can play the file fine in WinMed Player. No sync problems. I then use Sonic MyDvd (version 3 that came with DVD Burner) to author a DVD. Program says it will encode and burn. I proceed. All seems ok, except the final DVD's sound is out of sync with the video. The computer is a P4 2.53ghz RAM 512mb OS Win XP prof. DMA is enabled on the hard disks. Any idea's?

The first link seems the most promising, as it explains it quite well, but I haven't personally tried it yet

The sencond link is for MAC users

Reading your post again, I believe you may get better results by trying a directx filter in the tools section that locks the timing to your TV-In card, which from what I've read here and there may be the problem as the audio and video are slightly out of sync with each other

You need to somehow lock the audio and video timing together. I think having too large video dimensiosn can cause this, but as I haven't got a TV-In card (yet), then can't say for sure

There is somebody on here that knows a hell of a lot more, just can't remember there name

  4. I use WinTV PVR-PCI I had the same problem with Sonic MyDvd. . After capture everything played fine but after authoring with Sonic I got audio out of sync. Sonic sucks! With Ulead Video Studio works fine for me.
