using DivX 5.1.1beta, Xmpeg 5.0.2, and Nandub.
my process is as follows:
Using Xmpeg directly from the disc, i extract the AC3 audio to a file. the file lets just call audio.ac3
Then I take Xmpeg and disable all audio processing. I make it encode the movie into divx 5.1.1 format and it exports video.avi.
so far so good, all works peachy
I then take nandub and load the video.avi and audio.ac3 files with direct stream copy for both audio and video.
i then output movie.avi. this takes approximately 5-10 minutes, which is normal for direct streams
my problem is that when i preview the movie, the audio is out of sync. The audio gets progressively worse.
now here is the info on the files:
input video: 29.97fps (ntsc dvd)
output video: 23.976fps (ntsc film)
why is the video coming out like this. i've checked setting after setting after setting and cannot find out why the video is reduced to film framerate

Arguing on the internet is like participating in the special olympics. In the end, you may win, but you're still a complete retard.
