    Hi all,

I decided to try to retire my dvdXcopy Express/Gold.

And I am trying to understand the proper way to burn after a rip.

Basically here is what I have:

    DvD Decrypter
    DvD Shrink 3.0 beta 5.0
and my burning software is: Roxio easy cd/dvd creater6.

Now... here is what I done.

1st I ripped the dvd movie I want to copy on DvD Decrypter and create a folder on my hard drive to where to tell it to put the files onto.

2nd I open dvd shrink and click on 'open files' and open up the folder where I saved my dvd backup from dvd decrypter. DvD Shrink does its thang,,, and then after it completes it analizing,, I think create another folder to extract the files to.

3rd , I open up my Roxio easy cd/dvd creater6 and I put in my blank 4.7gb dvd-rw disk in (blank).

...............Now.... what all files on the folder do I add into what needs to be burned. Here is what was created into the dvdShrink temp folder after it completed its analizing:

    VIDEO_TS (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VIDEO_TS.BUP (BUP FILE)
    VTS_01_0 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_1 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_3 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_02_0 (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VTS_02_0.BUP (BUP FILE)

    VIDEO_TS (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_0 (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VTS_01_0.BUP (BUP FILE)
    VTS_01_2 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_4 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_02_0 (VOB FILE)
    VTS_02_1 (VOB FILE)

    -------------------------

Now do I SUPPOSE to put all of these files onto the dvd-RW disk that I want to burn it to?? Or what / all files do I suppose to add into my backup dvd movie??

    Thanks

Eliminate using both DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink together. You are taking an extra step you don't need. Open up DVD Shrink next time and skip using DVD Decrypter. Click open disk. And then follow the guide at dvdshrink.com. You need to get yourself a copy Of NERO or Record Now Max etc. I do not recommend using Roxio. The files you posted are not correct, I see 2 sets or duplicates. You should have the following similar files generated for burning after DVD Shrink is done it's thing! The number of VTS files will vary.

    VIDEO_TS
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_1
    VTS_01_2
    VTS_01_3
    VTS_01_4
    VTS_01_5

This is your list below rearranged and all the files are correct and I've added the extensions. You just have them listed in another order in Explorer (2 groups side by side) and you also have the 'hide known file extensions' setting turned on so that's why you don't see the .IFO & .VOB extensions, only the .BUP extension. That's why it looks confusing

    VIDEO_TS.IFO (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VIDEO_TS.BUP (BUP FILE)
    VIDEO_TS.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_0.IFO (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VTS_01_0.BUP (BUP FILE)
    VTS_01_0.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_1.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_2.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_3.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_01_4.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_02_0.IFO (DVD NAVIGATION FILE)
    VTS_02_0.BUP (BUP FILE)
    VTS_02_0.VOB (VOB FILE)
    VTS_02_1.VOB (VOB FILE)

you should be able to use any burning software to burn these files (see guides on left). Like jdizzy40 mentions you don't have to rip with DVDDecrypter, you can use DVDShrink direct but it's all down to personal preferences. Personally I rip first and then I feed them to a transcoder for a few reasons
