    OK, I'm a newb when I comes to DVD backup, but not PC's. I have a Shuttle SN41G2B (nforce 2 igp). I just bought a Plextor PX-708A. I'm using AnyDVD 2.0.0.4 and CloneDVD 1.3.10.1. I get thru about 8% of the transcoding to disk and my PC reboots!! This has happened multiple times and I can't figure out why. Is AnyDVD causing it? Any suggestions?

    I had that problem on a PIII once,

    it turned out that I had a semi bad strip of ram that unbeknownst to me
    was causing a latency problem that the OS (win2k) disliked so much that certain programs would force a re-boot when working hard..
    Taking the last stip added to beef up the memory fixed the reboot issue..

    I never re-upgraded (if it ain't broke.....)
