I just recieved my order from Meritline of Ritek White inkjet printable CD-R's and White printable DVD-4 4x.
The CD-R print great on the Epson 300R printer in best quality. They have a rough surface and dry very fast, within minutes I could touch the disk.
The DVD-R's had a smooth surface. They took about 2 hours before they felt dry.
Why didn't they use the same surface as the CD-R's? It seems like inkjets like the rough surface.

The difference might be that they are white printable, not white inkjet printable. They might have sent you the wrong disks! The ones you received might be THERMAL printable. It is all just a guess based on your description.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
watch22, how was the print quality on the Ritek White printable DVD-4 4x? What settings did you use?
thanks! -
I used the default settings -2 on the alignment. Setting to Best Photo, and media set to DVD/CD. I have a Epson R300, there is also a setting for glossy DVD/CD but takes a long time to dry. The disks dry in less then 30 minutes.
