  1. Can someone please help, I recently bought a JVC DVD player (XV-N33SL) it says in the manual it can play DVD VIDEO, DVD-R (Video format), DVD-RW (Video format) +RW (Video format), SVCD, Video CD, Audio CD etc etc. But when I try and copy a DVD to a DVD+RW it says 'no disc' when I insert the disk and ejects it straight away. The method I use is
    - DVD decryptor to decrpyt the files to my hard drive
    - Then instant copy with hard drive in the left column and my DVD burner in the right column
The discs that I am using are Phillips
Is there something wrong with this method, or are the discs not any good,
    Thanks in advance
    Mike

Are you sure you have a burner that records to DVD+RW discs?

  3. make sure the dvd files you are burning are in the VIDEO_TS folder. also you may want to make a AUDIO_TS folder.

  4. 1. Try playing the on your PC with PowerDVD or some other software dvd player. This should verify the disc contents (such as the VIDEO_TS directory).

    2. Try playing the dvd in ifoedit (load the VIDEO_TS.IFO). I have noticed that when sometimes certain titles are missing, or the dvd navigation information is somehow invalid, ifoedit does a good job of telling you (unlike PowerDVD). If ifoedit plays the dvd without complaining, chances are it will play without problems in a dvd player.

How many Gigs did you put on your DVD+RW. Sometimes, you need a minimum capacity for the player to recognize the disk.
My Malata needs at least 3GB to be able to recognize a DVD-RW. When I have too small a file, I put other files in the AUDIO_TS directory up to the required capacity.
Try to do the same with, say, 4GB of data and chwck if it works.

  6. Thanks for everyones help, in the end I took the dvd copier back and swopped it for a different one. The one I had couldnt copy DVD-R or DVD-RW I didnt think it would make a differnece when copying a DVD to a DVD+RW but apparently it did.
    Thanks
