I just installed a new Pioneer 106 burner in my # 2 computer. The burner worked fine except when attempting a backup of DVD movies using DVD X Copy Express V 2.5.4. I kept getting an error trying to rip the movie. The error was "Error occurred reading sectors". I attempted to rip the movie in my # 1 computer which has the Sony DRU 500 and it worked fine. So the disk was good. I looked through the 321 Studios forums and dvdrhelp forums using keywords including Pioneer 106 and the error I was getting. I found no topics with a fix for my problem. I figured I should see if the movie would play in the # 2 computer then realized I had not yet installed Power DVD software on that machine. I installed Power DVD on # 2 machine then tried to view the movie. It viewed just fine. I then went back into X Copy Express for another backup attempt and it worked great. I assume it was installing Power DVD that fixed the problem. I'm posting this message just in case some other poor soul has the same problem and looks it up.

    The latest firmware avalible at
    http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/support_software.jsp?category=support/software
After updating your firmware that error message "Error occurred reading sectors" will go and you can burn easly
I really advise you also to update your virsion of DVDXCOPYExpress V 2.5.4 to V 3.0.5. Check with 312 studio for latest update.
