Hello. I have been burning DVD's the past 7 days since buying my Pioneer 106. I have been burning DVD-R's using DVD decryptor and have had NO problems at all.
But it is only burning on my 4x media at 1.2x.
How do I get the Pioneer 106 to burn faster. It is rated at 4X, but is burning at 1.2X.
I tried to go into IDE controllers Advanced settings to set in 'Ultra DMO mode'---can't do it.
Also-- do I need to upgrade the firmware to v 1.07????
Some forum here had said to uninstall the IDE controller, and then reboot the computer, and it would recognise it as Ultra DMO mode.
WHAT DO I DO?!?!
I appreciate any help in this matter. THANK-YOU!!!!![]()

uninstall the IDE controller.
mind you,if your motherboard needs drivers, like say,VIA4in1's,then get them from www.viaarena.com.
a simple reboot and your system should be running again.
