  1. but they aren't, they are clearly there with the other ones. I find I have to restart many times before I can trick Nero into 'seeing' the existing files.

Then sometimes the darn thing burns a disc with all the files, but not in the right order: the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS are missing!

Does anyone have a fix for this problem? I am using Nero 6 and using drag and drop as they suggest.

    Thank you all.

sounds kind of strange. the only thing i could tell you is to uninstall, then reinstall nero if you have the installation files or installation disc.

  3. Did you ever get any good info on this problem? I have just started getting the same error even when the files are right there.

  4. What program created the files?

Can you play the files on your computer, for instance with PowerDVD?

Are you experienced with Nero? Are you certain you are dragging the files to the correct place?

Have you tried Nero 5? (Nero 6 is still new)

  5. I've used both Smart Ripper and DVDDecrypter and I have several VOB files and 1 IFO file, I usually extract only the main movie files. I am using Nero 6 Ultra. I play the VOB using both Power DVD and Win DVD and I have no problems.

Doesn't sound like your having the same issue as sitlet if you not ripping ALL the files from the DVD to your hard drive.

Playing the vob isn't what I'm talking about. If you rip ALL the files to your hard drive then PowerDVD can read the ifo file and play it just like it was a DVD with menus, chapters etc.

I created the files with DVD Decrypter, I never tried to play them with Power DVD, that's another program I never heard of!

Yes I am dragging them to the right place. There is a window that shows,
Audio_TS and Video_TS at the top,

I 'think' the trick is to click the VIDEO_TS one to make sure that the files end up there. But I will try Power DVD to verify the file integrity.

    Thank you all.

The trick is to drop all of the files INTO the VIDEO_TS folder NOT into the window under the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder

if you only ripped the movie, you have to first use ifoEdit to re-create the ifo files, and don't forget to get vts sectors.
