Mine all stutter and go out of sync. I don't bother with Divx ever anymore, just a waste of time. Mpeg is so much better. No one using divx has a standard encoding scheme, all they are trying to do is get the smallest file size at all costs. The only ones that might work are the SMR codec guys, because they only use the one codec, so you know that you really have what is needed to decode the sucker!
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

mr. knockers, two of the recent divx i just deleted were
supposedly meg ryan "in the cut" and val kilmer "wonderland.
and mr. idiot wonderland was also smr..
here is what i can understand why no sound if it says no audio channel
but for video i dont get any picture either

I am slightly surprised that the SMR video didn't work. That is the only one I ever got working properly. You might have another codec that is trying to play the file, probably one that microsoft installed. Then I decided mpeg was the only way to go, and completely gave up on Divx stuff.
You could try some of the divx players from the tools section, sometimes they work better than mediaplayer.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... Morons all.
I've said 50 times this month: Most players don't have an effing clue what the 4cc DX50 means!!!!!
That's why it doesn't play. Get the 4cc changer and make it read divx/divx. Make usre you have FFDShow installed and your problems will go away.
Oh yeah, I hpe you got a P4/Athlon, because DivX 5.1 movies ahve some major overhead.
And Anotehr thing, Screenshots of Warez will get you a red card.To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan

Don't tell me people don't have problems with audio sync when using mpeg2.
An no, I don't just try to get the smallest file size at all costs. I watch my movies fullscreen at a res of 1280x1024 from a few feet away and they look great.
My point is, just because you download someones poorly encoded crap off the www doesn't mean you should try to persuade other people from using DivX.
I will get off my soap box now.

Please do not discuss warez (read: pirated movies) on this site as it is against the forum rules.
"In the Cut" and "Wonderland" are still in theatrical release and are not yet available legally to own. Therefore any copy you own is illegal. Also the 'SMR' tag as well as the naming of the file in general screams illegality.
