    Hi,

i'm new to this whole business, so excuse me asking stoopid questions.. :-]
    i got 2 of 'em:

    1.
I encoded single (didn't know about the possibility of choosing a whole video_ts folder) VOBs to AVIs ok, (using the fast divx preset), the video qualitiy is good, audio is in sync, great. however i'm having trouble with joining them single AVIs.. i used the Quicktime Pro player, but the resulting final AVI has bad audio glitches when playing it in QTplayer (though no probs in Mplayer).. dunno if it's a QT prob, but the single AVIs play fine in QT. So i wonder if there's a way to join them directly with ffmpegx?

    2.
Since the 5 single avis where encoded a bit to large, the resulting final movie now has 820mb. so i tried to reencode it with a smaller video rate, and passing the mp3 audio through without encoding, but the resulting, then smaller avi comes out to have out of sync audio..

if anyone could help out on any of the two questions, i'll throw a huge thx his way..

    cheers,
    ben

Whenever I convert an AVI to MPEG-1 (i'm doing MPEG-2 as we speak)
it works very well in MPlayer but not QT. (MPEG-2 conversion finally done! Yay!) I also burned it to SVCD (weird, huh? DivX to MPEG-2 MPEG-1!) and it worked. No problems for the first one. For the second problem: demux the second one and then remux the two files in the options tab. I hope that helps.
