    I have been able to successfully backup movies using dvd x copy and dvd -r media. I have however had 2 unsuccessful attempts using dvd +r.
    Now, it does not give any error messages in fact, it shows it was successful yet the disc does not play anywhere, computer or any dvd player. I checked 321 studios and their website states it is possible to burn onto dvd+r.
    Anyone have any ideas? suggestions?

    Have you checked your burner's BIOS/firmware to make sure it's the latest version?

    Yeah, I flashed my bios to the latest.
    I am using the plextor 708a and the bios is at 1.02.
    Any more ideas?
