    Hi,

    I'm having a problem trying to get SVCD2DVDMPG to run. I am running Windows 2000 with SP4 and I have .NET framework v1.1 installed. After I install the program and try to run it, I get this error:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    CryptoAPI cryptographic service provider (CSP) for this implementation could not be acquired.

    at System.Security.Cryptography.RSACryptoServiceProvi der..ctor(Int32 dwKeySize, CspParameters parameters, BooleanuseDefaultKeySize)
    at _S_VCD2DVDMPG.frmStub.Main(String[] args)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    And there's an OK button, and if i click it it shuts down. I have tried un-installing it, then re-installing it, same problem. I have tried un-installing .NET framework v1.1 and re-installing that and it didn't work. And I have also tried un-installing .NET framework v1.1, then installing .NET framework v1.0, then installing v1.1 framework on top of that, and that didn't work either. I'm really out of ideas here. I don't know what's wrong. By the way, I also have Visual Studio 6 installed, could that be causing the problem? I have also been able to run other .NET framework enabled programs before no problem, it's just this one I can't seem to run. Thanks for your help.

    yup, logged in as administrator

    is there some system service that MUST be enabled in order for this to work? because i have many unneeded services disabled

    also, is there some registery entry I can change to enable what appears to have something to do with cryptography?

    thanks.

    I suspect the following would need to be enabled:

    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    um, that's not in my list of services. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro SP4.

    is that service on Windows XP only?

    have other people who use Windows 2000 gotten this program to work?

    is there a way i can add that service?
