  1. Hi everibody,
I am experiencing a strange problem with a rip I made with Daredevil dvd.

My will was to remove initial Coming soon advertising (ten minutes of movie trailers).
By using Clone dvd I removed them but a funny things happened when I test ripped files on my HD with Powerdvd.

Instead of directly appearing Dvd menu I got a gray screen. I noticed that the gray screen stay there exactly same time of the trailers I removed.

Manually I was then able to remove gray screen but the result again was not exactly what I expected. First to start was the movie and I could access Movie menu only using my remote control.

Anyone can suggest how I can fix this little bug ?? I mean force the menu to be played first.

Thanks for any help you may give me

  2. Use DVDshrink version 3, beta 5 to re-author and crop out what you don't want and I bet it will work.

  3. Unfortunately DVD Shrink 3 Beta 5 not works correctly.

It lets me to re-author the Daredevil rip but Menu are turned into simply Movie title.
Checking it with PowerDVD menus are shown like simply Images

It seems there's no way to keep menus as they are.

Any idea about where is the trick ???

    Regards

You need to use DVD Stripper & Menuedit to do what you want.

  5. Anytime you re-author with DVDshrink you will loose the menu operation. Unless you just use the backup feature without re-author and then edit off the hard drive files.

CloneDVD's latest version claims to have corrected the "Grey" screen. Old versions just "greyed" menu items you deleted, the new version claims to eliminate them.
