  1. Hi there.
Have bought this OEM version of drive at http://www.mwave.com for $115. Amasing drive everything working great. Burn 20 DVDs without any problem. But got stock with DVD-RAM drivers. I did not get any drivers with my drive called to Retailer, they bounced me to the LG tech support. LG web site doesn't have any drivers. Called them they sent me to the retailer. So please, can somebody extract drivers from CD and send me, or upload to FTP where can i get them. Or point me somwhere.
    Huge thanks to everyone.

I have them. Which operating system do you need them for? XP, 2K or 9X?

I have XP and 2K uploaded to my webspace. I don't have enough space for all 3 so if you need 9x, let me know and I will replace one of them:

  7. First, thanks to both balabas and myckee for making the drivers available for download.

Apparently LG is selling the OEM drives without the drivers, and they don't even have the courtesy to make them available on their tech support website. LG's support for the GSA-4040B is rather disappointing.

Actually, that's really crappy, considering that it's such a GREAT drive. I have one, and wouldn't trade it for another, but you're right, they need to beef up their tech support, and website to have new drivers and whatnot available for us who choose to spend our hard earned money on their drives. I find it rather ridiculous that we have to get the drives and firmware updates for THEIR burners from another site that has nothing to do with their drives. That's ridiculous.

LOL! For someone who doesn't know the difference between firmware and device driver, you sure know how to teach others to use "Google". Next time please read all the posts before embarrassing yourself.
